Bu dadi (grand-aunt), a widow, is supported by her nephews. She makes embroidered caps (Lachkoo) and spreads. Bakkarwals make colourful saddle bags from sheepskins and embroidered blankets.  Such handicrafts are declining due to lack of interest by younger generations.
