The earthen chullah or stove is used in places where these people camp for a relatively longer time. The camp keeps shifting, keeping in mind their need for fresh green grass and the proximity to a water source. Their diet mainly consists of pulses, wild herbs/ leaves along with rotis (wheat pancakes).
