At
the end of the day, the sheep are counted to check
if any are left behind, lost, waylaid or stolen. Some ewes
and lambs get stuck in the thorny shrubs and bushes. As they cannot
afford loosing any sheep, the irate owner sends the workers,
often his own kinsmen, to search for the lost sheep. If the sheep is
not stolen or falls prey to wild animals, they do find them. This day
Jalil had lost three goats but was able to recover only two. |
